For my first guest of the year, I’m grateful to welcome the one and only Aby Fulany at the Scandle Radio‘s studio. Aby is a music producer from Paris who has spent some significant time in the UK, developing a dreamlike sound blending beats, jazz with soul and building friendship with some of London’s brightest emerging talents. We kind of grew up in the same area, crossed paths on several occasion and always had mutual respect for each other so it’s a great pleasure to have him with me on today’s show.

It’s February again so you know we have to celebrate the life and legacy of the late great J Dilla with his Dwele assisted cover of Donald Byrd‘s “Think Twice”.

DC’s bassist and composer Ben Williams releases his third album, delivering some stunning neo-soul vibes.

Last July, Gilles Peterson‘s Brownswood recording dropped Sunny Side Up, a beautiful compilation showcasing the vibrant Australian jazz scene. Melbourne record store, studio and label Plug Seven goes even deeper bringing back acts like Laneous and 30/70, putting together an amazing and varied jazz record.

And of course more amazing discoveries on the show! Press play.

Click the cover artwork to listen to the playlist and most of these releases are up on Bandcamp so make sure to support these artists on that platform.
